Jordan Love Finally Got His Turkey Leg As The Pack Froze Miami And Kept The Good Vibes Rolling

That my friends was an awesome win. Just a joy of a three hours as the Pack played a complete football game and won their third straight to improve to 9-3 on the season. Love was great and once again avoided the turnover bug. Josh Jacobs was a force in the PASSING game, the defense knocked Tua on his ass all night, and Jayden Reed did Jayden Reed things. It was beautiful.

Last year when the Packers went into Ford Field and stunned the Lions, there was no celebratory turkey leg for Jordan Love. The team talked about it all week and how it was their mission to get him that turkey leg this time around. Well, they got their man his turkey leg.

A part of Love's game he's got to cut down on is taking too many shots and looking for the home run ball more than he should. It's the gunslinger in him. Tonight he was 10/10 for 213 yards on passes 10+ or more which is fan-fucking-tastic, but he also hit plenty of check downs and layups like the one below. Don't force it into triple coverage and instead hit Jacobs for a short one and see what happens. What happened was Josh Jacobs putting his foot in the ground and leaving a defender in the dust as he racked up a 49 yard gain, the longest of his career on a catch.

With Romeo Doubs out tonight, Jayden Reed was called on to shoulder more of the load. Of course that was no problem for him since he's capable of doing anything. Peep this throw below by the way.

There was plenty more to be had from Reed on Thanksgiving night.

And that narrative about Tua's Dolphins playing in the cold? Very much still a thing. They were off for most of the night until it was too late.

3,500 lbs of cold weather gear all to be the same team you've always been. Tough.

After the game was my favorite moment though. All the fellas crowded around the turkey just talking each other up. McDuffie in there preaching unity. Jacobs, Love, Watson, Nixon, Reed, just a bunch of guys who love playing together and living in the moment. Love to see it.

Jacobs left with the whole damn bird for the locker room to feast on.

I'll tell ya what, man. 9-3 after nearly losing Love in Brazil to start the season? Matt LaFleur is coaching his ass off this season, proving he's one of the very best in the game. Gute's two big offseason acquisitions in Jacobs and McKinney? Couldn't be playing any better. Exceeding any and all expectations. Hell, even Lukas Van Ness showed signs of life tonight. Quay Walker making impact plays. Rashan Gary being a menace. McManus being a real kicker who just bangs home anything? The division is whack with everyone except the Bears winning, but one thing is for sure, you do not wanna face this Packers team in January.

Another thing for sure? The Barstool Sports site wide Black Friday deal is live and wonderful. 20% off the whole joint. Get involved.

P.S. This is still very funny to look back on
