"I Smell Pussy" - Carmelo Anthony Finally Shed Some Light On What Actually Went Down Between Him And Kevin Garnett

While sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming that every pro athlete (especially NBA players) seems to have their own podcast these days, I for one am happy we live in a time in media where everyone is suddenly getting behind the mic and unleashing all time stories from their playing days. While there are some who use their podcasts and platform for hot takes and to go viral, there are some out there (think Pat Bev, KG/Pierce, Jeff Teague, Melo etc) who use it as a way to tell hilarious stories from their days in the league. As an outsider, that's truly all I really care about.

A great example of this is Melo, Iman Shumpert, and Rudy Gay telling the story of the famous dust-up between Melo and KG. You know, the one where KG apparently told Melo that his wife tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios. I mean, what a line. We all know KG is a psycho on the court, and it instantly became part of NBA trash talking lore. Was it true? Was it just something that spun out of control once the internet got their hands on it? Does any of that even matter? Not to me.

OK, what a tremendous story. Post-retirement Iman Shumpert might be one of the best storytellers of our generation. As I said, I don't care if Melo is telling us that KG never really said that, it's real to me dammit! People believe in make-believe shit all the time so despite the reality of the situation, I'll forever continue to believe KG actually said it.

I'll tell you what we need now. We need KG and Pierce to break this story down on their podcast. There's no need to get defensive about it, as you can see Melo and Shumpert are having a good time with it considering it's now water under the bridge, but we need to hear the other side. You know Pierce gives no fucks these days and once KG starts going on about it his side of the story is going to be must watch stuff.

So while there's a part of me that is sad to hear the truth around their beef and I imagine this is how people felt when they learned Santa Claus wasn't real, it did make for a great story. At the very least you can't say you weren't entertained.

And because there's no chance you want to be working right now, let's relive some of the best KG trash talking stories from one of the greatest to ever do it
