The Run To The National Title Is Still On For The Indiana Hoosiers Who Remain In The College Football Playoff Bracket

You won't hear me complaining - Indiana is still projected to make the CFP, I don't hate a match-up against Penn State, and Joey Galloway wasn't a moronic dickhead on the bracket selection show. Not a bad outcome after what most Hoosier fans would say was a deflating week on the Hoosier football hype train.

If all the teams on the back half of the bracket fighting for a spot didn't implode last week, I'm sure there would be mass chaos with the bracket reveal as SEC fans screech strength of schedule at the top of their lungs, but the reality is that there's a lot of not so great teams in college football. Just win, baby and everything will be fine.

The Indiana vs Ohio State game was truly a painful loss. It's been a minute since I've gotten my hopes up for a big game, only to have those expectations shattered into a million pieces. BUT, I needed that. The team needed that. You've got to find that low, so you can build yourself back up better and stronger than before. Plus Indiana can go back to being the wily underdog that is fighting for respect. Now when the Hoosiers step on the field for the CFP in December, their opponent will underestimate them. Yeah, Indiana was embarrassed by OSU in Columbus, but IU has now been in a big game against top talent. Cignetti will have this team learn from the experience and be ready to go against whatever opponent IU goes up against. Until then, Indiana gets to build their confidence back up by hanging 60 points on a terrible Purdue team. First the Oaken Bucket, then the playoffs.
