Will Howard's Attitude Towards The Rivalry Game Is Exactly Why Ohio State Is Going To Kick The Shit Out Of Michigan

Look I'm not going to continue to beat on a kid that is no longer associated with the Ohio State program (will continue to let Boston Colleges and Pitts of the world do it for me)...

.....but something irked me about Kyle McCord saying that the Michigan game was "just another game". If I've said it once, I've said it a million times: the biggest difference between Urban Meyer and Ryan Day has been the understanding of the rivalry. And New Hampshire's finest was been unable to instill in his quarterback from Pennsylvania how Michigan is not just a game, it's the game. And I'd rather go 1-11 and beat Michigan than 11-1 and lose to them. Case in point this year: I'd rather win on Saturday and get blown out in the first round of the playoff than lose for the 4th straight time to them and end up winning the natty. You may disagree, but that's because you're not from Ohio.

Anyways, I don't want to continue to rag on McCord but what I do want to do is say how fucking excited I am that Will Howard is our guy this year. Not just because he's a better passer and runner, but because he's a substantially better leader of men:

I know he just got here and I know he's not from here, but this guy fucking gets it. He's shown it time and time again this season, and he just passed his SECOND biggest test: how he feels about the Michigan game. Now the only thing left to do is go out there and kick the absolute shit out of them. And I have full confidence that he will. This guy is 1 win away from being a Buckeye legend for life.

A true embracing of the state and the university. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind about that fact. Now you'll obviously have your haters and losers like Aaron Goldhammer of ESPN Cleveland (non-Ohio guy that uses clickbait for a living when he's not eating dog poop for clicks) have terrible takes like this….

But Will just needs to block out the noise and continue to do what he's done. Lead this team. Keep them focused. And I don't want him to take it easy on the opposing coach in his taunting again this week. That "Google Me" was rather tame, Will. I want you going to Sherrone's neck on Saturday.
