Curt Cignetti Is Exactly Who I Said He Was: An FCS Merchant And A Fraud

Have I ever been more right about something in my entire life? I said it all week: the guy has used smoke and mirrors to convince people that he's God's gift to the sport of football. But in reality, he's feasted on FCS teams to trick schools into paying him more money. Call me old school, but I don't sign my coaches to double-the-salary extensions until I see them coach in at least ONE ranked game, because you run the risk of finding out exactly what the entire nation found out today: Curt Cignetti is is a fraud that tried not to lose, rather than trying to win. And that's not some Ohio State fan or troll saying that, that's a fact. He PUNTED on 4th and 10 from the opponent's 43 yard line down 21 in the second half. He tried to run out the clock himself late in the 4th, and when he couldn't do it, he tried to let Ohio State do it. Damn near begged Ryan Day to take a knee at the end, but instead, Coach jammed it right down Cig's throat! Google that shit!!!

Let's be very clear: Curt Cignetti deserved all of that. The way he talks. The way he said "Google Me" not just 6 months ago but right before the game, he comes across as a guy that's never gotten in a fight but needs a good ass kicking. HE is the reason Indiana lost today. Special Teams. Delay of Games. Penalties in bad moments. Fumbles. All come down to coaching. But he was too busy practicing his pregame and postgame speeches to worry about getting his team ready to win. He played not to lose!!!

As for the fans -- Look I'm not going to go too hard on the good people of Indiana. They sort of remind me of those commercials where you could donate 50 cents a day to save those little kids from Africa's life. Good kids, just dealt a tough hand from God. They would thrive if they had a real football team, but God placed them in Bloomington, Indiana. Plus, when you beat a 29 straight times, what's the point of talking shit? What's the point of making Christmas Cards from Ryan Day and his kids?

What's the point of continuing to go at Indiana and pointing out that even though they played to keep it within 3 scores, Ryan Day still chose to eliminate them from contention?

That's the one thing I disagree with Coach on today. Sure, he completely out-classed Cignetti in all aspects of being a Head Coach today….but why not take the knee at the end and allow Indiana into the playoff? Not to be nice or for Big Ten pride or anything….but the more bad teams in the field, the easier the path is for us.

Anyways, I'm done with Indiana. Maybe you'll beat us in the next 30 years. But right now I'm shifting my complete focus to the rival. Finally we get a fair and square fight with them.
