If You Were Wondering Where Jonathan Toews Has Been...The Answer Is India For The Last 5 Weeks

This is one of those..."don't knock it 'til you try it" situations for me. I did not expect to wake up this morning to Jonathan Toews going all Eat Pray Love in retirement. I had heard whispers over the summer that he was hoping to have a comeback somewhere. That seems far away if not impossible at this moment. I will say...I have tremendous sympathy for people suffering from chronic illness as Toews has had for 5 years now. I can't imagine being unhealthy and in pain for that long. I did see my mom deal with it over a decade ago. She eventually found treatment and diet that worked for her that were unconventional. So Toews going on a Pachakarma healing protocol...I mean no stone left unturned. Even if its a Sankara stone. 

I hope he gets better. I hope he has some peace. I found it sad and odd that he wasn't in the building for the Chelios/Kane night last season when Sharpie, Seabs, Keith, Hossa, and others made the trip.
