Belichick's Girlfriend Remembers Tom Brady Roast Jokes About Her With the Grace and Class You'd Expect From Someone Dating the Coaching GOAT

Can it really have been six months since the football, comedy, and streaming service world was forever altered by the landmark Tom Brady Roast? It's one of those relative time situations in which it simultaneously feels like yesterday and yet feels like a lifetime ago. So much engagement. The whole internet was abuzz about it for weeks. Careers were made. Including the stand up debut of Drew Bledsoe:

Not to mention the way Andrew Schultz and Tony Hinchcliffe not only became household names, but actually went on to become major parts of the narrative of the Presidential election. While Ben Affleck, Peyton Manning and Ron Burgundy did themselves and the audience no favors. It was wild. It's hard to fathom it actually happened. If I hadn't seen it with my own vision-corrected eyes, I would scarcely believe such a thing was possible. Yet here it is.

Of course, there were some people who did not sign on for this, but who ended up as part of the collateral damage. Not the least of whom is Belichick's lady love, Jordon Hudson:

One of the main punchlines at Belichick's expense was his new relationship, thanks to its 49-year age gap. 

Hudson has spoken on the roast months later, which she attended live as Belichick's guest.  

'Hopefully y’all’s burn wounds healed over… I know Bill & I are still applying bacitracin daily,' Hudson said on Instagram.

'#IThinkISpeakForEveryoneWhenISayWeAreSoGladThisHappened6MonthsAgoInsteadOfNow,' she continued in a long hashtag.   …

'Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,' [Rob] Gronkowski said. 'But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.'

Brady himself made a joke at Belichick and Hudson's expense too.  

'Everybody asks me which ring is my favorite, I used to say "the next one,"' Brady said. 'But now that I am retired, my favorite Ring is the camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house a few months ago. Hey, you still got it. Respect baby.'

And that is how you handle that. Tell me this young lady hasn't been coached up by the best ever to wear a whistle. Ignore the noise. Do your job. No days off. Deal with reality on reality's terms. Do what's in the best interests of the T-E-A-M. Protect the football. Coach it better. Do better in all three phases. That's how you build a championship girlfriend. You coach her up to stay humble. Put the team before any one individual. Be laser focused on the job at hand. Go into every situation - even the biggest media event of May, 2024 - knowing that you're as prepared as you can possibly be. And trust that your coach will have put you in the best possible chance to succeed. 

Reading her reaction to the anniversary of this historic occasion gives me nothing but hope his relationship with her will last as long as the one he had with the Patriots. And be filled with every bit as much winning. Kiss the rings.
