Zach Bryan Begged For A Shoutout At UFC 309 Just Because Bri Was There

Pretty crazy stuff from one of the most famous musicians on Earth, huh? That's some high school pettiness.

If you can't watch the video, essentially - UFC lightweight David Onama gave Zach Bryan an extremely random shoutout in his post-fight interview on Saturday night (with Brianna Chickenfry in the arena), saying he'd be back at Madison Square Garden next month for his concert....

I thought this was kinda bizarre in the moment, especially coming from Onama - and considering Bryan is playing the Barclays Center next month, not MSG - but didn't think much of it. That was, until I saw Onama discuss the shoutout on 'MMA Today with Din Thomas and Alan Jouban' yesterday....

Basically, Onama has no idea who Zach Bryan is (he's more of a Morgan Wallen fan) - but Zach's team reached out and begged Onama for a shoutout that night. 

Why would they do that? Well, damn - I have no idea! Not the slightest clue! Could it maybe just be EXTREME pettiness when he realized his ex-girlfriend would be in the arena? I dunno - it's not my fight, but it sure seems like it to me! 

I'm just doing my duty as the resident UFC reporter at Barstool and reporting on this interview, which even Dave Portnoy has taken note of. Very interesting stuff. 

P.S. Onama doesn't even realize how much of a dagger "I don't really know Zach Bryan but love Morgan Wallen!" is. That was awesome.
