America's Newest Favorite Big Boy: College Hoops Fans Have Fallen In Love With Bowling Green's Marcus Johnson, Calling Him DJ Burns 2.0

We have a new big boy and he's AWESOME. Look, DJ Burns made the leap from Winthrop to NC State and a Final Four. He won over the country last year by beating Duke and being a character. Now we have mid-major DJ Burns 2.0 after what he did to Michigan State yesterday. Dude went for 23 and 5 rebounds against them, even if Michigan State sucks this year, it's still damn impressive. Dude was playing Division II ball the last couple years (top-20 scorer in the country) before making the jump from Wheeler to Bowling Green. Spent some time at a place called St. Vincent St. Mary's High School, which clearly makes him the most known alumni from there.

This is why we need early season college hoops. We're about to get into the most underrated time of the year. The time of all the holiday tournaments and basketball on our TV's from noon until 1am. It's perfect. It's also where we start to find our guys. You know exactly what I'm talking about here. The guys you find when you have a random game on because you don't feel like paying 100% attention to work. Someone from Radford? Sure, why not. You never know who you're going to stumble upon and that will payoff come March. Say what you want about the guy, but look at that touch! I'm seeing DJ Burns 2.0, Zach Randolph 2.0, Big Baby Davis (not in jail version), you name it, it's out there. Bowling Green has been added to the list of teams we want to see make a run in March. So far there are 3 on the list. Kentucky, Austin Peay and Bowling Green.

Man has scored at least 10+ in all 4 of the games so far, but also went 1-for-11 from three against Michigan State. Absolutely hilarious stat line. He will launch it if he has to, 5-for-10 against Davidson from three and 13-for-32 in 4 games. Steph didn't even launch it that much. America's favorite player without a doubt.
