Legends Never Die: 1,804 Days After His Death, Juice WRLD Is Still Dropping New Music

Just short of 5 years ago. 1,804 days to be exact. Juice WRLD passed away of an overdose in a private jet on a runway in Van Nuys as law enforcement waited outside to arrest him for illegal possession of drugs & firearms. It's a heartbreaking, yet way too common of a story in the world of music. He was 21 years old, in what should have been just the beginning of a long & successful career. Just horrifically sad on all levels. It was less than 2 years prior to that when Juice WRLD released his first commercial album, 'Goodbye. & Good Riddance'. An quintuple platinum album with tens of billions of streams.

But despite Juice WRLD's life being cut tragically short, his posthumous career is apparently immortal. I swear there has been more Juice WRLD music released since his death than than there was when he was alive. Not only has his label released 2 full albums, appropriately named 'Legends Never Die' & 'Fighting Demons', but Juice WRLD has been posthumously featured on tracks with Eminem, Chance The Rapper, Lil Uzi, Marshmello, DJ Khaled, Post Malone, and conservatively a million other projects I've never even heard of. There was a time there after his death where it seemed like Juice WRLD, despite not being alive, was still the most prolific musical artist in the game.

And just when I thought he was out of unreleased music... in the winter of 2024... when I finally hadn't thought about Juice WRLD in a while... he strikes from beyond the grave once again with an 'All Girls Are The Same' remix alongside Nicki Minaj.

It's never going to end. Which is pretty cool in a lot of ways. Also a little fucked up when you consider how much these record labels were able to profit off a young artist's death. I'm not exactly sure how that all works. I know Juice WRLD's mom took over his estate. So you can only hope she's at least seeing some of that money. But regardless, it's pretty impressive that by the age of 21, Juice WRLD was able to write and record so much music that half-a-decade after his passing, there are still new songs coming out.

Crazy it's been almost 5 years since he passed away. Seems like he's still here. Because he has new music coming out every fucking day. Juice WRLD was a damn talented artist. Some of the best freestyle videos out there as well.
