That Time Presiden Lyndon Johnson Drunk Dialed Jackie Kennedy And Told He Would Spank Her If She Didn't Give Him A Hug Goodbye

We talked about this in our dogwalk episode the other day. This is the danger of recording every phone call you make. If you accidentally get drunk and call your former running mate's widow, tell her you love her, and threaten to arrest her and spank her for not hugging on you less that three months after her husband was murdered…weird move. Weird guy. All presidents probably weirdos to a degree. And I will say, that there are other phones between Johnson and Jackie where Johnson sounds much sweeter and kinder and less horny and less drunk. Odd choice of words from a different time perhaps. Hearing Presidents and historical figures in their private moments is always so intriguing to me. We never really know who any of these guys are. That tiktok account above has a treasure trove of audio clips from Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon that are fascinating. JFK absolutely motherfucking some military officer for giving out details around Jackie Kennedy's delivery and hospital room is another wild one. 

I wish every phone call got released. I'd love to hear Trump putting in his McDonalds order or Biden calling in for movie theatre times forgetting what year he's in.
