Operation Tank Is In Full Effect In Cleveland As The Browns Have Traded Za'Darius Smith To The Lions

So the trading of Amari Cooper to the Bills for a 3rd round pick and a 6th/7th swap signaled that we were calling for a punt on the season....but then that plan was quickly nullified after our biggest tanker, Deshaun Watson, went down for the year. Jameis Winston came in and led a 1-6 team over the Super Bowl Contender, Ravens by the tune of 300+ yards passing and 3 touchdowns, and all of a sudden....the good people of Cleveland were pulling out the calculators to run the numbers, seeing if the math added up for the Browns to sneak in the playoffs at 9-8. Until Jameis promptly threw 3 picks in an embarrassing blowout loss this week (which could've been worse)....

Point being, the Browns season is over. And operation TANK is in full effect. We proved so this morning by shipping Za'Darius Smith and his 5 sacks over to Detroit, who is hopeful of making it to their....wait they've been around since 1930....FIRST Super Bowl? And we're sending them a 3x Pro Bowler? I'm excited to see the haul!

A 5th and 6th rounder? And we sent our 7th? Eh, nothing to write home about. Although we're starting to get quite the collection of selections for a Draft that we're finally picking in the 1st round of for the first time in what feels like a century.

This is all I have anymore. We have no QB. We still have to pay the QB we have about a billion dollars. Our RB, although an awesome person, is not the same anymore. We shipped off our WR. We're wasting an all-time talent at DE in his prime. But at least we have 9 picks in the upcoming draft. I'm officially a draft guy.

….and the Lions are probably going to go on and win the Super Bowl, likely against Amari Cooper and the Bills, due to a Za'Darius Smith clutch 4th quarter sack. That's just how it works being a Browns fan.
