The Top 10 Halloween Candy I Ate From My Kid's Haul
Trick or treating is the best. It's almost more fun as a parent. Seeing your kids light up at nearly every different house they go to because they're literally giving them their favorite treat for free. There are so many different varities and types, as I was eating most of my kid's haul from the night, I decided to rank the top 10.
10) Skittles Shriekers
An interesting newcomer to the scene. The colors are a bit more easter-like but there was something about these that stuck with me. I'll be having more tomorrow.
9) Snickers
It's solid but the ice cream version is way better.
8) Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
It's a good candy, but not great. Peanut butter tastes too fake sweet to crack the top 5.
7) Jolly Rancher (Stix)
These rule. A non-chocolate to break things up. The Stix version can last a long time in your mouth or you can go HAM and just chew right away.
6) Almond Joy
So coconutty, so underrated. It feels like I'm on a beach.
5) Milky Way
You may have heard, I'm a caramel guy. Milky Way has a terrific chocolate to caramel ratio.
4) Butterfinger
Butterfingers are superior to Reese's in the chocolatey/peanut butter treat. No further questions at this time.
3) Twix
Left or right, it just hits every time. Great out of the freezer too.
2) Skittles
The best non-chocolate candy and you won't change my mind on that.
1) 100 Grand
If you like Snickers or Milky Way and don't like 100 Grand, you're lying to yourself. It takes what those candies try to do to the next level. The crispy crunches are the perfect compliment to the milk chocolate and caramel.
We also had a big Halloween special on Thursday's Yak. The trailer itself is worth the watch.
