Not Tonight: The Yankees Show Some Fight And Punch Back To Win Game 4 Of The World Series

All I asked for was a little fight tonight from the New York Yankees. Don't lay down and die in the World Series on your home field. Have some fucking pride for once. Whatever it takes. This fan had the right idea.

Well, the offense followed suit and had a much needed eruption to punch back and win a game. For now the season stays alive and we wake up tomorrow with a glimmer of hope.

When you were looking at guys in the lineup for Game 4 you wondered who would have their moment. Soto? Stanton? Maybe Judge wakes up? How about Jazz slotted in the cleanup spot? Nope, how about Anthony Volpe? Committed a brutal base running error an inning prior only to redeem himself with this go ahead grand slam in the 3rd.

Sick moment for the kid. Another youngster with a big night was Austin Wells. Dude looked like he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Tonight he turned on a heater up in the zone, a pitch that has killed him all October long, and extended the lead to two.

In the 8th, Gleyber put things to bed and made sure Luke Weaver did not have to get three more outs. Great for my blood pressure.

The bullpen was once again outstanding. Luis Gil was good for a bit then crumbled in the 4th. All in all, the Yankees ran away with Game 4. Dave Roberts had no issue punting this game away, staying off of an valuable relievers. This was set up for the Yankees to win and they finally jumped at the opportunity. No need for the Dodgers to press in that game, but giving New York a little life can be dangerous. Having guys like Volpe and Wells get going is risky. Judge even found the barrel in the 8th. Like Curry hitting a 3 late in a blow out while he's in a brutal slump. All it takes is one.

It's a long fucking way back, but it had to start tonight. Now you have Gerrit Cole in Game 5 to try and send this sucker back to LA. Fuck it, why not?

P.S. Mike Francesa will be joining us tomorrow on the live stream. Pretty insane stuff. Hope you tune in and enjoy the chaos.
