Tyrique Stevenson Immediately Took To Twitter Last Night To Issue An Apology For His Braining Shutting Off At The Biggest Moment Of The Game

Ball up top, I guess. There's a time to hit the opposing fans with the suck it move and he now has notes taken so that won't happen again. I like the accountability, but this feels far too casual. We obviously don't get tone and we don't see in the looker room, but I want him banging his head against a concrete column while crying the way Mike Winchell did in Friday Night Lights. It should be painful. Accountability...great. Growth...great. I just hope he does enough to get the respect of his teammates back because this tweet doesn't seem like he's feeling the pain the way he should. At least that is my read of 15 hours post-tweet.

I've seen people saying that the Bears should cut him. That is just unrealistic. He's a good player. The Bears need him. I like that he has edge to his game. This just isn't acceptable though. I do think a different type of coaching staff and a different type of organizational culture makes a play like that impossible. The Bears have losing and stupid plays in their DNA. That chain has to be broken. Someone in the locker room has to step up and demand more from the team. I don't know who that should be or can be (which is also a problem), but right now this isn't enough.
