Steve Ballmer Welcomed The Clippers To Their New Arena In The Most Steve Ballmer Way Possible

It's safe to say that the last few weeks haven't exactly been all that kind to the Clippers. Last week we got the Shams bomb that Kawhi was in fact not close to being healthy and was being shut down for an undefined amount of time. Shams updated that initial bomb with a new bomb that he's hearing this could mean "weeks"

Not exactly the type of thing you're hoping to hear as a Clippers fan, especially with the Clippers about to have their first game in their new arena. This was supposed to be a time of excitement and hope, and instead since the Kawhi news came out it's really deflated the entire season.

But you know who is going to do everything in his power to turn the momentum? That's right, Steve Ballmer. You think he dropped billions on this new one of a kind state of the art arena just to be a debby downer? Have you ever seen Steve Ballmer? He's going to go nuts and cheer his dick off no matter how cooked Kawhi's knee is

You have to admit, that does look pretty electric. The Wall section sneaky plays and I can't sit here and tell you Steve Ballmer doesn't bring the heat in a way that only Steve Ballmer can. If anyone else does this, it's cringey as hell. But with Ballmer it works because it's authentic.

I mean, what other owner has their own Fan Cam on their gigantic scoreboard that probably costs more money than any of us could possibly imagine? I see clips like this and I find it impossible not to root for Ballmer. He's the ideal owner in my opinion. He's rich as hell and more than willing to spend on his roster, he built an arena with 3x the amount of toilets of any other arena or some shit, he truly cares about the team and he's obviously electric as hell. What more could you want from a guy who owns your favorite team?

And look, this Ballmer Cam might be the best thing the Clippers have going for them this year if things end up not looking too hot without Kawhi. Maybe Harden can reach into the fountain of youth and the Clippers can get a Houston-era version, maybe Terrance Mann can take a leap, but compared to the rest of the West it could be a very long debut season in that building. At least Ballmer is doing his part to set them off on the right foot against the Suns in a big division matchup.
