'Certified Pain In The Ass' - UConn Players Admit That Dan Hurley Let All His Success And Titles Change Him, He's Crazier Now

Today's Big East media day, which matters because 1) it means we're close to the season and that's my life and 2) the Big East is still the best conference in America. It's what college basketball should be. Teams playing each other home and away, rivalry, dumb fights on Twitter and characters. They have it all and it starts with the coaches. Hurley, Shaka, Cooley, English, Sean Miller, McDermott, Pitino are all characters that college basketball needs and it starts with Hurley.

The man showed up with his certified pain in the ass socks:

As much as I want to hate Dan Hurley, I can't. He's what I remember from the good old days of college basketball. Coaches who aren't afraid to lose their shit, win games and truly loves college basketball. We have a handful of them still in college basketball but Hurley is the face of the young group coming up to take over the face of the sport from guys like Self, Izzo, Calipari, the lifers who have been around forever. Now you have to wonder, back-to-back titles, recruiting success, turning down jobs this offseason, surely he can't be a lunatic, right?

Good. Hurley losing his shit is good content. Also if you're a UConn fan (fuck you) but you gotta be happy about this. You want your coach to still be this lunatic who brought you two more titles. You also gotta enjoy Creighton fans losing their mind that he purposely voted Marquette to finish 1st in the Big East because of the near fight:

Plenty of tweets like that one, I won't like them all so your phone won't explode. We'll save that for a Smutler slideshow. But this is what Big East basketball is built on. Maybe I'm nostalgic after watching Requiem for the Big East again, but this has always been a basketball conference. It's basically the only league in America that's a basketball conference. And now we have a crazier Dan Hurley.
