Watch When High - The Antikythera Mechanism

This one got suggested a few weeks ago but I can't find the person who made the suggestion because the comment got deleted. Sorry about that. Thanks to whoever it was.

I had never heard of this prior to seeing that comment and pulling up these youtube videos.

The Antikythera mechanism is an ancient Greek analog computer used to predict astronomical positions and eclipses for calendrical and astrological purposes. Dated to around 150-100 BC, it was discovered in a shipwreck off the Greek island of Antikythera in 1901. The device comprises a complex system of gears and has been recognized as the world's oldest known mechanical calculator.

The more and more stuff we learn about things far more advanced than the time period we're lead to believe they're from causes a ton of doubt about just how primitive humans were back then. Or if it was even humans who built these types of things in the first place.

Keep the suggestions coming. Keep them classy. No butt stuff.
