You Can Go Ahead And Cancel The Sixers Season Now That Joel Embiid And Paul George Are Already Out
We need to launch an investigation. I don't know whether it's going to take the FBI or the GhostBusters, but we need to get to the bottom of what's going on with the Sixers. They are either cursed by an evil spirit, or they have doctors in that building who are performing acts of medical atrocities on these players. Andrew Bynum came to Philly and never played a game for the Sixers after getting a knee surgery. Markelle Fultz completely forgot how to shoot a basketball after getting some shoulder injury that nobody ever heard of before. Ben Simmons sat out an entire year because he hurt his pussy back. And Joel Embiid is one of the all-time great, yet oft-injured superstars in the league.
There's no organization in sports that has had a more bizarre history with injuries than the Philadelphia 76ers men's professional basketball team. So what did they go out and do this summer to try to make the most of what's remaining of their championship window? They signed another superstar with a long history of injuries in Paul George. And right on cue, both Paul George and Joel Embiid will miss the season opener tomorrow night
This is after Joel Embiid pretty much said he'll never play in back-to-backs again in his career. Paul George said it "won't be a long timetable" for him to return, but you never know with the Sixers. A day-to-day injury could turn into a few weeks, a few weeks could turn into a couple months, a couple months could turn into a season ender. And you know the basketball world is going to punish Joel Embiid for medal chasing this summer and joining Team USA at the Olympics instead of focusing on getting healthy for the next season.
All I'm saying is you should get used to seeing way more Andre Drummond, KJ Martin, and Guerschon Yabusele than you were originally expecting to watch this season.
Here they come! Play the music!
