Flying First Class Is Overrated

I got upgraded to first class over the weekend a few minutes before boarding. The flight was maybe 30% full and it was a two hour domestic flight. I wasn't sure what to expect as I probably haven't sat in a row lower than 12 in my life on any flight. So I was naturally pretty excited to see an upgrade to seat 3F.

The flight was quick and the perks were fairly limited. The seat was nice and wide. As a 6'3" 205 lbs. guy, the wide seat and extra leg room were certainly nice. An extra wide arm rest rules. No jostling over the thin ones in coach. But I thought I'd be getting a bunch of cool things like a hot towel, warm chocolate chip cookie, and more.

To be honest, it was kind of disappointing. I got an alcoholic drink, which was free of charge. And the flight attendant brought me through a trey of snacks that were name brand and different from the standard ones you'd get in coach. But that was it! No hot towels, no warm chocolate chip cookies and no more! Just booze and a snack.

So I asked The Yak what the actual perks were and why they like to fly first class.

Not worth it in my opinion, but to each his or her own! Check out the full Yak here:
