Lamar Jackson Puts On Another MNF Show, Throws 5 Tuddies in a Rout Over Tampa

What a fucking rout. Lamar Jackson did it yet again. Every time the bright lights of Monday Night Football are on, this dude balls out. 5 touchdowns tonight to bring his career total to 20 on MNF… with zero interceptions. The guy has won 2 MVP's and somehow despite showing up week in and week out this year and being the best player on the field… he was not the MVP favorite until tonight. As of now he's +275 with Mahomes at +475 and Josh Allen at +500.

This team is officially a certifiable wagon. The offense is damn near untouchable. They will pick you apart 80 different ways. We can have Lamar sling it all over the yard or have Derrick Henry shove it down your throats. There are 3 tight ends that are absolute bullies that can catch the football and make plays in space. Zay Flowers is stupid slippery. Rashod Bateman is a route maestro. Did I mention Derrick Henry? Dude is gonna coast to 2,000 yards at this clip. And oh yeah, Lamar can take off whenever he wants. Even when the O-line struggles (which at times they have, but they've generally cleaned up a lot of early season issues), they are impressively capable of digging themselves out of long down and distances and basically break your spirit. They are inevitable.

Defense has a loooong way to go. They are going to inspire hope in a lot of teams this season, but it'll be moot. You need to play a damn near perfect game offensively to keep up with them. Baker and the Bucs were beating our D like a bad habit to start the half, but he made two grave errors and the game totally got away from them. It was gone in a flash. It's happened to a bunch of teams on this 5 game win streak and we're going to see a lot of it the rest of the year. Yet at the end of the day… the defense doesn't need to be exceptional for this Ravens team to go win a Super Bowl. They just need to be adequate.

They were adequate tonight. They were adequate last week, and the 3 weeks prior. But there will come tougher weeks against tougher opponents where they're going to need to bring a little more. And for gods fucking sakes, both sides of the ball will need to clean up the penalties.

But damn. Score makes this game look closer than it was. Another 500+ yard game for this offense, which might be one of the best this game has ever seen.

On to Cleveland next week. Go get a divisional win and keep the train rolling.

Lamar for MVP.
