Texas Fans Threw Enough Trash on the Field To Actually Get the Refs To Overturn a Bad Call

What a sequence in Austin. Texas picked off Carson Beck and took the ball into the red zone to get the Longhorns back into the game, but then the pick was called back on a very questionable pass interference call. Texas fans then started raining trash onto the field, at which point the officials huddled up, presumably discussing if another pnalty would be assessed against the Horns for the game being delayed by the trash storm. But it turns out they emerged from the huddle having reversed the original penalty entirely! I've never seen anything like that entire sequence.

The penalty was reversed probably five minutes of real time after it was called. I honestly didn't even know they could do that. And it was probably the right decision to let the interception stand, but if I were a Georgia fan, I'd lose my fucking mind that the Texas fans throwing trash on the field somehow actually got a call reversed.

Sometimes throwing a fit works, kids.
