Finally, The Panthers Won The Trade: Team Can't Stop Praising Bryce Young For Thriving As Their Scout Team QB, Pretending To Be Jayden Daniels

I can't think of a more backhanded compliment than this. Hey, former No. 1 pick, guy we traded everything for, he's doing AWESOME at pretending to be another quarterback. Have him do that in real game? Heavens no. Don't be crazy. Why would we have a No. 1 pick play like Jayden Daniels in a real game? What's the point of that? No you have him pretend in practice to be a different Heisman Trophy winner. No point in even attempting to do any of that in a real game.

But now it feels safe to say the Panthers won the trade. How many other teams have a former No. 1 pick as a scout team quarterback? None! Impossible to say what they would have done without trading with the Bears. DJ Moore? Just making your regular picks? Impossible to say how bad they'd be. But no one else is out here pretending to be Jayden Daniels in practice and getting your team ready. Don't see Caleb Williams doing that. He's too busy practicing with the starting team and watching film.

At some point the Panthers gotta help this guy out. No saying he's doing a great job on scout team. You already benched him, we all fired off our jokes. Now you're just putting it out there again that you have him pretending to be a rookie quarterback who looks awesome. Just trade him for a 5th rounder and start over again. Or play him again and maybe just keep telling him he's Jayden Daniels. Use some of the plays he's 'thriving' in, we all know it's a copycat league. But for now we can call the trade a wash. Best scout team quarterback in the league.
