Philly Fans Pick Up Huge Win As Nick Sirianni Apologizes For Yelling At Them After Game
It's been a pretty chaotic 24 hours down in South Philadelphia after the Eagles scurried away with a 20-16 win over the Browns yesterday. By now I'm sure that everyone has seen the clip of Nick Sirianni taunting a couple of fans sitting behind the Eagles' bench after an AJ Brown catch locked up the win for the Birds.
It was the main talking point in Philly after the game. It was one of the biggest talking points in the national media today. The game became a complete afterthought. Some people were fine with Nick Sirianni being true to who he is, which could be described as overly enthusiastic and passionate. Others thought Nick Sirianni behaved like an absolute clown. Either way, Nick Sirianni had a night to sleep on it and came to the conclusion this afternoon that maybe he stepped over the line a bit with that "celebration", so he decided to extend an apology to Philly fans.
Apology accepted, Nick.
That's all we needed. Playas fuck up sometimes. It happens to all of us. There's not a single person writing or reading this blog right now who hasn't let their emotions get the best of them from time to time. It seems to happen for Nick Sirianni more often than others, but that's just who he is. I'm sure there are pros to being overly emotional, and we've seen there are obviously some cons to it as well. But he apologized and now we move on to worrying about shit that actually matters.
Shit like not scoring a single point in the 1st quarter of football games yet this season. Shit like still not figuring out how and when to properly utilize Saquon Barkley and the run game early on. Shit like the fact that maybe Jalen Hurts' development has been stunted and that's why this team isn't actually running Kellen Moore's offense. There are so many things for this Eagles team to worry about fixing right now, and having a coach vs fans civil war wasn't helping anybody. If we can change, and Nick can change, then everybody can change.
