Love Always Wins: A Beautiful Philly Fan Couple Get Married At Eagles Tailgate
There's a certain level of tension in the air right now for Philly fans. This Eagles game has the ability to either make or break the city after the Phillies have already disappointed the shit out of everybody. Philly fans have already been on edge about how sketchy this Eagles season has been going. So a win here will either be a massive win that the whole city needs to get over the Phillies, or a loss can send this city down one of the most self-destructive spirals we've ever seen.
But while that tension is in the air, so is love. And the smell of piss and beer. But mostly love as this lovely couple joined each other in holy matrimony. To have and to hold, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death them do part.
Seeing these two love birds seal the deal makes you realize that this is what being a Philly sports fan is all about. This is what happens when you choose love. Sure, there are going to be some god awful times. Times when your teams start off 10-1 only to sputter out in the Wild Card. Times when your teams win the NL East for the first time in 13 years only to get destroyed by the Mets in the NLDS. But you continue to choose love every time. Because that's the deal that was made for you the moment you were born into your Philly fandom. As much as you think a divorce would be best for everybody involved at times, you continue to choose love. Because love always wins. And hopefully so will the Birds.
Sidenote: On the completely other side of the spectrum at the Eagles tailgate today, the cameraman going through the roof on this dude's RV while getting a shot of Jason Kelce chugging a beer can't be a good sign of things to come today. Maybe it's best to keep Jason Kelce away from the tailgates for a while. So far he's already taken out someone's ACL and now took out someone's RV.
