One Of Us - Poch Claiming Christian Pulisic Is One Of The Best Players In The World And Actually Running Practices Proves He's Made To Coach The USMNT

Just a quick blog before we go all-in on the best Saturday of college football. But the US has a match tomorrow against Panama, the first in the Poch era. It's important. It's real important because the US has sucked ever since Copa America. Not just 'oh look at the US not winning a major event' kind of suck. But, losing at home and looking like a joke of a team. There was never a real reason for it. No one is saying this team is Argentina, but they aren't the sort of talent to be eliminated during group stage and things like that.

But you know what I love about Poch? First, he recognizes greatness. Some of Pulisic's teammates at Milan might not, since they refuse to listen to the penalty kick hierarchy and squeeze him out. But Poch knows the greatness. Pulisic is one of the best offensive players in the world right now. Everything says that way. So far this season at Milan he has 5 goals and 2 assists in 7 matches. Not too bad! When he puts on the US jersey he basically turns into a different player. 31 goals in 73 matches, he was someone always who showed up for country.

And now we have Poch finally adapting to football (our style) coach:

About goddamn time! There are limited windows before the 2026 World Cup. He can't be around the guys as much as he wants or needs to be, so good. Get them out there, make them practice hard and no more of this soft shit that we got too used to seeing. In order to actually be a decent team, they need some sort of edge. Part of it is mental, part of it is physical. You need to be able to deal with teams chopping at Pulisic for 90 minutes. It starts tomorrow. I know the match doesn't 'matter' but it does. You can't lose, you can't tie. Start off with a win and establish something.
