We Finally Have Footage Of Manny Machado Throwing A Baseball At Dave Roberts With "Intent Behind It" And I Am Ready To Declare The Dodgers The Softest Team In Sports

All the Divisional Round series have been fantastic so far, but only one has given us fireworks and it's 100% the one you thought it would be. Game 2 had EVERYTHING, Hubbs highlighted it all here for you. We all saw the jawing between Manny Machado and Jack Flaherty while the pitcher was in the dugout. It came after Machado struck out against Flaherty so I think we all assumed that is what the jawing was about, but it turns out the Dodgers were mad at Manny for another reason.

There was a report that he had thrown a ball at Dave Roberts in the Dodgers dugout, not great! He's been known to be a hot head and immature at times but that was all a long time ago, surely Manny wouldn't be throwing a ball at his former manager, right? Well we've got the footage that LA has turned into MLB to be examined and it sure is something.

TRIGGER WARNING

IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH PLEASE TURN AWAY, THIS IS A VERY GROSS AND GRUESOME VIDEO

FINAL WARNING

Before the inning starts Manny sees the ball that was thrown down skip in the dirt, the universal sign for "get a new ball" so he tosses it at the Dodgers dugout because it's closer. You can literally see this ball bounce as it slowly gets to the home dugout but from the quotes coming out you'd think he turned into Randy Johnson and tried to earhole Roberts. He was legitimately tossing the ball away, that is what we're complaining about? It hits the lip, bounces up and rolls into the dugout.

Roberts admitted he wasn't even looking and only got mad after hearing Teoscar Hernandez get upset and watching the video. I've been watching Manny Machado play baseball for almost 15 years, we know how good of an arm he has, how strong it is, how accurate it is. If he wanted to hit Roberts he could have, he was throwing the ball away to the bat boy who literally stands at that railing. The video coupled with how the Dodgers and Roberts acted was pathetic, just listen to these quotes.

Using words like "there was intent" and "it was unsettling" and "it was bothersome"….what are we doing here? At first he said there was intent and then he said he didn't know his intent, make up your mind bud. I like the Dodgers too, they've always been fun to watch. I like Mookie, I like Freeman, I love Ohtani, but shit like this is wild. Acting like Machado pulled out a gun and fired a warning shot? Submitting THAT video to Major League Baseball to look at, it's a waste of time.

Maybe twitter is right, maybe LA is just soft. Grown men being upset that a guy threw a ball at a net when he wasn't looking, the horror! Especially after the crowd in LA did what they did, grow up Dodgers. Embarrassing look for Roberts who seems pretty well respected around baseball, this is grasping at straws.

I can't get over him saying there was intent and how unsettling it was, that is just such a reach for Dave. Guess giving a ball to a ball boy is a crime now, good thing they're worried about the right things in that dugout. As I said, I like the Dodgers and think they're fun to watch but wow are they a bunch of babies if this is what is keeping them up at night. Roberts tossing and turning like a war vet with PTSD thinking about this Manny Machado throw bouncing towards him, grow up buddy.

No one outside of that LA dugout is taking this seriously, meanwhile Roberts and company are probably trying to fortify the dugout incase it happens again. That ball could have rolled to Robert's feet and he wouldn't have known it hit him. Going to be interesting to see how this progresses on the field because you know MLB won't punish Machado for this, he simply did nothing wrong. Cry more LA, please.
