Anything To Win: Antonio Pierce Reportedly Took Recruits Parents To A 'Gentleman's Club' While At ASU, Now Has An 8-Year Show Cause For Recruiting Violations

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's all calm down here. First off, how dare the NCAA try to punish people for recruiting penalties this day in age. Hilarious to see them try and control shit that they've lost control of years ago. Second, this isn't a Louisville situation. This is bringing recruit's parents to a strip club - excuse me, gentleman's club. That's smart recruiting! My whole mindset of Antonio Pierce as a coach just flipped. He knows you gotta entertain the parents in college, not just the kids. Start showing the dads a good time and have them tell their kid how awesome Arizona State is.

Anyone and everyone who has spent roughly 4 seconds in college sports knows how ruthless and unethical recruiting is and can be. It's all about what you can get, what you can promise, how to win the word of a high school kid to join your team and vice versa. Think we're at the point where we need to throw out all recruiting penalties. Nothing matters anymore. Money is thrown around with NIL, most of it not even accurate numbers. Hell, half the time those 'high money' NIL teams aren't the ones winning titles. You still need to show up and actually win games, which is lost in this whole argument. Arizona State didn't win games. They sucked under Herm Edwards, so why suspend the guy a year if he decides to return to college? Let Antonio coach wherever he wants, he's a Super Bowl champion damnit.

Now if you don't mind me, I gotta spend the rest of the day starting the training sessions for my two boys. If this is how recruiting is done, I got some Division I athletes to raise. Recruiting is about me from here on out, they can decide where they want to go, but I'm here for all dad incentives. We deserve it.
