'Maybe I'll Take Them To Dinner Or Follow Them On Instagram' - Lions DB Carlton Davis Claimed The Refs Were On The Seahawks Side, Has A Plan To Get Calls In The Future

Consider me torn here. On one hand the refs were 100% for sure not on the Seahawks side and in fact the Lions got the better of the calls. On the other hand, I'm all for delusional rants and the ability to make fun of refs. Put me in a real pickle here, Carlton Davis, especially because i don't mind the Lions. In fact I enjoy watching them win. But you can't start talking about the other team getting calls when your very own team got away with this:

Again, NFL refs aren't exactly great. We all know this. I just want consistent calls or non-calls during a game. Don't think I'm asking for much. Decide if you're going to let the boys play or not. Let the players adapt from there. But the Lions whole defensive strategy is to be physical. They grab, they push, they dare the refs to call flags and we see it a lot ... especially on Terrion Arnold. Yeah, we don't want to see a flag every play, we want some sort of normal game flow, but you can't claim the refs were on the Seahawks side.

I do love the idea of seducing the refs. Take them out to a nice dinner, surely that won't cause a fine. Maybe following them is a good idea. Pretty sure there are zero refs on Instagram, should probably avoid social media, but don't think they care if you follow them. It's exactly how defensive backs think though. They never think they commit a penalty. They celebrate overthrows like they prevented it. You have to be a little bit crazy to play defensive back and I admire that.
