Small Athletic Feats Keep You Going
On Today’s episode, Feits let the world know that he’s the best there is when it comes to not dropping things. Whether that be soap (shoutout Prison Mike) or silverware, he’s snagging it.
Is there anything more important in life for someone that doesn’t play competitive sports anymore than small athletic feats? There’s something so special about splashing a crumpled up paper into the trash can and then just being able to say to yourself “the kid’s still got it”. People in the room rarely say anything about it, but you just know they’re all thinking about what a stallion you are
I’m a big fan of doing a behind the back pass to throw a ball back to people when they’re playing basketball instead of just doing your standard chest pass back. Great fundamentals with the chest pass but a little behind the back action does two things:
As mentioned above it lets me know my athletic prowess (or however close I ever got to athleticism) hasn’t completely left me.
I like to think it drops a little bit of fear into the kids who are playing’s eyes.
“Could he wipe the floor with us?”
“Was he a thousand point scorer in high school?”
A resounding no to both of those (997 points away from 1,000 in my career), but they don’t know that, and that’s all I need to tell myself there’s still some athleticism left in this body.
The crew put on their diplomat hat today, so I suggest everyone give it a listen to hear about the big topics that stump society. And sleeping naked. That too.
