Aaron Rodgers Joins Jets Fans In Being Annoyed With Robert Saleh
Yesterday's Jets game felt like one out of last season or the season before that or the season before that. A mess offensively where the only hope is a Pick 6 and/or an insane amount of field goals. None of those things happened so the Jets lost. The offense looked as sloppy and disgusting as the rain soaked MetLife Field. The game fucking sucked. Same as it ever was.
It might be time to simply say Robert Saleh stinks. He's now 20-35. I know he didn't have Aaron Rodgers last year but enough is enough. We're in Year 4 of this thing. That's a .364 winning percentage. He's now 8th in franchise history in games coached. He's coached more games with the Jets than Bill Parcells and Eric Mangini. If Saleh coaches 10 more games with the Jets, he'll be 6th all-time. My point is that the Saleh Era isn't new. No Jets head coach in the top 10 in games coached has a worse winning percentage than Saleh.
This stair thing is so fucking lame. Such a hardo move. Also, I'd rather my coach be a big, fat guy if it means he is spending more time prepping for the upcoming game. Why should anyone care if the coach is jacked? Meanwhile, this guy won the last two Super Bowls:
The only reason Robert Saleh has a job is because of Aaron Rodgers. If Rodgers didn't like him, he would have been gone at the end of last year. It's wild to me that a very good coach like Mike Vrabel is a consultant while Robert Saleh remains employed as a head coach.
As with all things Jets, so much of the blame has to fall on Woody Johnson. Here's the Jets coaches since 2000:
Al Groh
Herm Edwards
Eric Mangini
Rex Ryan
Todd Bowles
Adam Gase
Robert Saleh
Out of all of those coaches, only Gase had head coaching experience before. The rest were all rookie coaches. Why? To save money? The plan clearly doesn't work. The Jets record is 170-221 since 2000.
So, now the Jets face a tough next few games. They have the 4-0 Vikings (in London), Bills and at the Steelers. They need to get on track quickly.
The problem is I don't trust the coaching staff to do that. It sounds like Aaron Rodgers may not either.
