Not Enough Can Be Said About the Way Tom Brady Emasculated Baker Mayfield for Questioning His 'High Strung' Approach

Warning: This is a repost. Steven Cheah already addressed this topic.  And were it 99.7% of other bloggable stories, I'd happily give it a good leaving alone and move on to other unaddressed subject matters. But I can't let this go without putting my hands on it.

Baker Mayfield had the audacity to tug on Superman's cape:

And got an abject lesson in what happens when you come after a metahuman. Particularly this one, whose only Kryptonite is loving football too much. Yesterday Kal El fired back with laser beams from his eyes:

“I thought stressful was not having Super Bowl rings. So there was a mindset of a champion that I took to work every day. This wasn’t day care. If I wanted to have fun, I was gonna go to Disneyland with my kids.

“There’s a way to approach this game. There's a right mindset. And try to push each other out of our comfort zone. And great teammates do that. You come in .. I had someone like Gronkowski. I had someone like Evans. There’s high expectations for us. We have to make sure we go out there and deliver."

Holy cats. That is how you put one of your 7 billion inferiors in his place. The last time a man stole another man's masculinity from him like this, it was Ramsey Bolton to Theon Greyjoy:

And as happened then, the experience has broken Mayfield:

ESPN - He said he meant no disrespect to the seven-time Super Bowl winner who was on the call for Sunday's game for Fox Sports, his first trip back to Tampa as an analyst.

"I think a lot of that got taken out of context, and none of it was personal by any means," said Mayfield, who led four touchdown drives in the victory. "It's just what he demanded of the guys, and that's the aura of Tom Brady. And that's what he did to bring a championship here.

"Nothing personal, but yeah, talking before the game, he's obviously happy for me and he knows the guys, so he knows how much I enjoy throwing to Mike [Evans] and Chris [Godwin] [because] he got to do the same. It's fun to be able to talk about the same experience with a guy like that."

That's good, Reek. This is how you show you know who the Alpha is. Mayfield just assuming the submissive position. Tail between his legs. Ears down. Front legs down on their haunches like a proper Beta.

More to the point though, Brady's response was just as perfect and on point as his 59-0, 380 yard, 6 TD game against Tennessee in the snow. What did anyone who's been bellyaching about how "high strung" he was in Tampa expect? That he'd feel bad about it? Apologize for taking the franchise with the worst record in North American sports and turning them into a champion overnight? Regret working people too hard? Show remorse for hurting their feelings?

Let Baker Mayfield be Mr. Nice Quarterback. Brady is Blake from Mitch & Murray. Just in compliance with FCC regulations while he's saying it:

And for all this, we owe Mayfield and those whining ingrates in Tampa our gratitude. Anything that gets Brady further and further out of his shell and being more to his actual self is a great public service. With each week, he gets noticably better as a broadcaster. And like with his quarterbacking, the more disrespect he receives, the more he answers back by destroying any who would dare challenge him. It's almost a shame he'll be in Foxboro next week because he's going to get nothing but adulation there. But it's just a matter of time before some other public figure wants to rip him and get cucked just like all the others.

Know your place, everyone. Or Tom Brady will put you in it.
