The Fair And Balanced NFL Suspended Derwin James Despite Pat Freiermuth Confirming To Them It Wasn't A Dirty Hit

ICYMI The League decided to suspend Derwin James for one game citing "repeated violations of playing rules"

As you can see in the clip above, it is damn near impossible to watch that hit and think there was any malice behind it. Pretty basic, bang-bang football play. However, the refs called it and the NFL decided that players shouldn't be tackling players anymore and suspended him. That decision is bad enough but coupled with the fact that they disregarded the affected party coming to James' defense in the appeal is just so god damn dumb.

So now the Chargers are going into their next game and will likely be without LT Rashawn Slater, RT Joe Alt, Joey Bosa, Derwin James and (hopefully) Justin Herbert. I say hopefully because I truly do not want to see Herbert get behind one of the worst O lines in the league with a high ankle sprain. Anyway, who the Chargers play next, you ask? The Chiefs. Any reason they may not want Derwin to play?

(I actually reject this narrative cause Kelce has destroyed the Chargers basically every game regardless of James' presence).

So thanks to the NFL for being brilliant as always. Thank god they kept dangerous people like Derwin James off the field. After all, he could have hurt some of the true good guys in the league like Rashee Rice.
