Caleb Williams Has Apparently Purchased Himself A Quaint Little $12.9M Home In Lake Forest And It Is Breathtaking

(source)--In love with Lake Forest?

So signed to a fat contract—but on a relatively short leash—Williams shouldn’t splurge on Lake Forest’s most expensive listing.

A $13 million mansion landed on the market just two weeks ago and offers an array of baller-worthy details, including a sport court; a synthetic, indoor ice rink; and a luxurious, wood-paneled office with views of Lake Michigan. It’s a statement home without a doubt, but a rookie probably should shy away from this caliber of home.

Now THIS is what you want from your franchise QB. A palatial estate on the water just a short drive down the road from the Bears practice facility. A nice place to rest and recover. Plenty of space to stare out over the beautiful blue horizon and ponder about where things went wrong on Sunday. I love this for Caleb. He's putting down roots. Embracing Chicago, his home. I can picture a day where the sun and Lake Michigan are reflecting off of the Lombardi Trophy on his patio someday.

I am sure the haters are probably asking why a 22 year-old rookie needs a house like this three weeks into his career. Those people are called morons. Caleb studies. Studies film, studies the market. Rates are going down. Home values are going up. He's going to refinance that thing a few times as the property value skyrockets. Just a savvy business move. I hope he's got our Barstool Chicago mortgage guy, Dave Hochberg, on speed dial.

Part of the reason why I wanted to blog this story is because I don't think people nationally understand how incredibly beautiful the north shore of Chicago is. There's a ton of properties like this up there across Winnetka, Lake Forest, Highland Park, etc. That home looks like it is on Lake Como, not Lake Michigan. That is a 30 minute drive from downtown Chicago (when there's no traffic. Caleb can zip down RT41 to his high rise apartment downtown that he also apparently owns. The guy is becoming a real estate mogul here. Imagine what he will do with his next contract. He might buy the Sears Tower at that point.
