The Very Generous Dave Portnoy Has Won The Silent Auction To Produce Dan Bernstein's New Show

When this silent auction item was up I think everyone probably suspected that there wasn't person on the planet who would out-bid Portnoy for this. He loves charity and he loves spite. Duality of man. Credit to the Score because it is my understanding that the charity checked in with the station to see if they still wanted the producer for a day item up after we saw this face

And the people at TheScore said they were cool. Maybe they don't know Portnoy that well. Maybe they thought he wouldn't leave his $42M Nantucket mansion in the waning days of summer to fly across the country just to continue an internet fight with a known asshole in Dan Bernstein. They thought wrong. I can't wait.

Unrelated, but related, Lawrence Holmes has moved permanently into the afternoon slot with Eddie's co-host, Matt Spiegel, and now Bernstein is starting a new show with a new partner.

It's crazy that Bernstein hasn't addressed this at all. Nothing, to my knowledge. No apologies. No explanations. Just hiding in plain sight waiting for the storm to blowover. It hasn't. It's about to get a lot worse. Hurricane Dave coming. I can't wait to see the segments Producer Dave comes up with. Segment 1: why are you such a prick, Dan? Segment 2: What did Eddie ever do to you? Segment 3: Why are you so offended by your own name and if you're so offended, why has every show you've ever been on had Bernstein in title? We'll see how it goes.

Either way, credit to Dave. Raised $5000 for a disease that sounds horrible, but doesn't get much funding or exposure. We had a Neurosurgeon on dogwalk to break down the disease and all sorts of mysteries around the brain
