Who Should Foot The Bill Of NIL Funds: Billionaire Alumni or Middle Class Fans?

So I think anyone above the age of 25 is on the same page on this one: the new era of college sports fucking sucks. Don't get me wrong, College Football and College Basketball are still the superior product to the professional levels, but the NIL world, the transfer portal, and conference realignment are watering down the sports we all once....and still....love. Anyways, on the newest episode of the Mark Titus Show, in which Titus goes scorched earth one final time at his nemesis Woj before laying down his sword, we get into some of the newest, intriguing discussions coming out of the South on how NIL is being handled. Tennessee is implementing a 10% tax on ticket prices starting next year, all to be able to pay players more to get them to come to school there. Arkansas' Athletic Director proposed having 10,000 families across the state pay $100 a month to simply "get them in the game". And Georgia's governor signed some bill saying that the NCAA doesn't get to determine how they handle NIL in their state and they can do whatever they damn well please. (Can he do the same for driving violations?)

Let me say this: the South is the perfect guinea pig for all of these ideas. They may not have the most money per average person down there, but they'll use their last penny to make sure the Hogs can compete with the Tide. But the thing that's interesting about that is.....doesn't Arkansas have the biggest of rich folk that colleges have to offer? I mean, they're asking common people to add a $100 bill onto their water and electric each month, while they have.....Walmart, Tyson Chicken, and the fucking Dallas Cowboys. It's interesting to think about who should fit the bill (since we have to foot the bill for these 18 year old kids to come play college sports for free). Do the Waltons have enough money to make Arkansas football BACK? Yes. Should they have to? I don't think so.

Other topics discussed on the newest episode of the Mark Titus Show:
