Don't Be Surprised If The Texas Longhorns End Up Running The Table In The 2024 Regular Season
On today's Pardon My Take... COLE CUBELIC! The ESPN football analyst and radio host joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to talk College Football, if Georgia is in trouble, if anyone can match up with Texas, and tons more.
The Texas Longhorns made the College Football Playoff last year, but were bounced in the semifinals. But this time around, they are still undefeated, have a big road win at Michigan under their belt, and only have three more ranked teams on their schedule for the remainder of the regular season...
The schedule breaks perfectly for a team that is dealing with a QB1 injury in Quinn Ewers. No more true road games until the end of October, another cupcake in UL Monroe on deck, and a bye week before Oklahoma and Georgia back-to-back.
So, who does Cole Cubelic think has a chance against one of the newest additions to the SEC? Here were his thoughts on Texas on today's show…
With the 12-team College Football Playoff now here, double digit wins in the SEC will put you in a very good position to make the bracket. Not only are the Longhorns in a spot to do that, but that game in Austin against Georgia may very well have a big say in who from the SEC earns that crucial bye into the quarterfinals.
Not only is Texas back, but the Longhorns aren't going anywhere.
