Only 2 Weeks Into NFL Season And The Body Count Is Piling Up

Play Fantasy Football they said….. it will be fun they said.

WELP So much for that. It is hard to believe your fantasy team has not already been affected by some sort of injury. Let's take a look at the carnage and how to manage it…..

1) QB Tua Tagliavoa (Concussion)

This one ABSOLUTELY screws not only Tua owners but Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle too. And it does not help Achane either. Miami is going with backup QB Syler Thompason for the time being and has an eye on free agent market. Could they bring back Ryan Tannnehill even?

There's no good solution here. You cannot bench Tyreek but expectations must be severely lowered going forward. Waddle is such a home run threat that he is hard to bench. Same with Achane. Just gotta pray Miami figures out this QB situation because it does not look like Tua will be back soon and nor should he be with his concussion history.

2) WR Deebo Samuel (Calf Strain)

Deebo joins star RB Christian McCaffrey on the shelf for a few weeks. Immediately upgrade WR Brandon Aiyuk & TE George Kittle's weekly value. And if you are desperate for WR help, a waiver claim on WR Juwan Jennings is not the worst idea as he is set to get a bunch more targets and is a reliable 3rd down option in a good offense.

3) Isiah Pacheco (Broken Fibula)

Pacheco joins WR Hollywood Brown on the Chiefs injury list and is going to be out 6-8 weeks. This looks like a muddled committee situation with Samaje Perine as 3rd down back. Could Clyde Edwards-Helaire come back? And the Chiefs are bringing in former NFL rushing champ Kareem Hunt today to kick the tires on bringing him back. There's no instant solution here although Perine could have some value ESP in PPR leagues.

4) Cooper Kupp (Ankle)

Disaster strikes the Rams as they are now going to be without their top two WRs in Kupp & Puka Nucua. Sean McVay has turned water into wine several times but the trio of Tyler Johnson, Demarcus Robinson & Tutu Atwell is hard to get too excited about. Matthew Stafford also might need to head to your fantasy bench for the time being ESP against San Francisco on Sunday until some playmakers emerge. TE Colby Parkinson could get some looks depending on how bad your TE situation is.

5) Ja'Mar Chase (Contract)

At least Chase is still healthy. But damn he is killin' some teams so far ESP if you used a 1st round pick on him. The only solution is to hold onto your nuts and hope the Bengals passing game gets going again. Tee Higgins being out ain't exactly helping the situation. Bengals Owner Mike Brown is notoriously tight with his money and will not pay anyone not named Joe Burrow. This situation does not look good as Chase took out a 50 Million dollar insurance policy on a potential injury.

I also have concerns about Amari Cooper (Watson sucks), Trevor Lawrence (Is he good?) & Michael Pittman (QB can't throw).

Good luck gentlemen….. God speed.
