Kirk Cousins Orchestrated the Easiest Game-Winning Drive in NFL History To Give the Falcons a Massive Road Win Over the Eagles

Well that was easy. Kirk Cousins got the ball with 1:39 left and the Falcons down six points and led Atlanta down the field in just six plays before delivering the game-winning touchdown to Drake London. Cousins and Darnell Mooney looked like they were playing catch in the park on the final drive before London hauled in the touchdown.

I don't know what was going on last week that made Kirk look like he was still playing with his right Achilles snapped in half, but he certainly looked better on Monday night. He wasn't running around the field or anything, but he was delivering the ball on time and on target — which was a major issue in Week 1. Atlanta's defense is going to be good enough to keep it in every game if Kirk and Co. can find a way to even just get into the 20s on the scoreboard.

I'd like to issue Saquon Barkley a huge thank you for dropping a wide open pass which would have ended the game without the Falcons even getting an opportunity to have that final possession. Gotta catch those!

What a huge road win this is for the Falcons, though. Week 1 didn't offer a lot of optimism, particularly with this game and next week against the Chiefs coming up on the schedule. But this team battled and can clearly compete with anybody even without playing its best game.

It feels nice to be on the right side of the win probability graph for once.
