Grow The Game: The NFL Putting The Giants vs Panthers In Germany Has To Be Some Sort Of Sabotage To End International Games Forever
I have no idea how to feel about the international games. On one hand, I love having some morning football. It's a nice change of pace to throw it on at 9am and sit back and watch a game. On the other hand, it's annoying to have all these games across the world and not, you know, in a normal football stadium. I'm very much against any sort of expansion and trying to make the NFL this global enterprise. Just play games in the stadiums where the teams play, seems simple.
But this? This has to be some sort of crime. Germany is getting the Panthers vs the Giants in a game where both teams have a legit chance to be winless. I don't even know if the Germans want to see the starting quarterbacks play each other to a combined 48-yard duel. This is as bad as bad gets in the NFL. It's not like German fans won't know either, they go nuts for the NFL game there. If this game turns out the way it likely will, they need to boo them for us. I don't want the Giants all comfortable playing in another country if they are 0-9.
What are the chances these teams still have the same head coaches and starting quarterbacks? Gotta be under 25% right? Good chance either Daboll is fired, Young is benched or Jones is benched. If the Giants are losing all these games Mara will 100% want to move on because that's all he does now. Recycle coaches while losing games. No one deserves to watch the Giants/Panthers in person, especially when you're trying to grow the game.
