Ignacio Bahamondes Just Delivered The First Knockout At The Sphere

Here we go! Here come the knockouts! Shoutout Ignacio Bahamondes for bringing the first one to the Sphere!

Unfortunately, Mexicans have been on the losing side of the last two finishes on the UFC Noche prelims (celebrating Mexican Independence Day) but both of em were pretty sick! I blogged about Ketlen Souza's club-and-sub over Yazmin Jauregui here....

....and here we have Ignacio Bahamondes knocking out Manuel Torres in the very first round - after dropping him twice with a couple of nasty counterpunches.

Honestly, the first knockdown looked to be the more brutal of the two, but I dunno if that's just because it appeared Torres tore every muscle/ligament possible in both knees as he went down....

He survived that, though, and was able to fight on for a few more minutes before being dropped by a very similar shot (which led to the finish). Bahamondes looked great in there, and super fast/accurate on all of his counters - he's definitely the real deal.
