Pat Narduzzi Said Pitt Practiced Inside This Week Because West Virginia Might Have 'People in the Hills' Spying

If there's one thing I know about college football coaches, it's that comments like these are not jokes at all. Pat Narduzzi is 100 percent serious.

Nothing will bring out a college coach's schizophrenia more than a direct sightline to his team's practice field within several miles. Nick Saban wouldn't even let people use the balconies in their own homes during Alabama practices in fear of government secrets getting out.

I respect Narduzzi's commitment to making sure his team has the best chance to win, but West Virginia can probably just watch Kent State — likely the worst team in the FBS — put up 24 points on the Panthers and come up with a pretty good gameplan without having to deploy people to the hills with binoculars.

In a post-Connor Stalions world, though, I suppose no team can be too careful. Some may call Narduzzi insane, but his only real sin is wanting to win. Sue him.
