Hopefully Mike McDaniel Just Started A New Movement Of Being Able To Give Your Boys A Little Smooch From Time To Time
Mike McDaniel has been taking a lot of shit lately about being "a shitty coach". A nerd who cares more about his appearance than actually winning football games against division rivals. Say what you want about the dude's perm or wearing a hoodie in 85° weather with 80% humidity, but the one thing you can't say about Mike McDaniel is that he doesn't love his guys.
Obviously everyone is a little worried for Tua after he suffered what looked like yet another serious concussion last night. That's now his 3rd in the past 2 years if we're going week 4 of 2022 to last night. He's getting to the point now where you legitimately don't know how many more of those he can afford to get. Not just as a football player, but as a fully functioning human. Mike McDaniel was clearly shaken up and worried about his guy.
So as he's walking Tua off the field, he gives him a quick little smooch on the head. Nothing gay. Not like a forehead kiss or anything. Just a little "hey, man. I love ya". Most of the times when dudes try to demonstrate that emotional bond to each other, it comes in the form of a sack tap or something like that. Quick little backhand to the nuts. Maybe a punch to the arm. Maybe an RKO out of nowhere. Using physical violence to mask a display of physical affection. The only issue is that Tua's brains were scrambled eggs at the moment, so it probably wouldn't have been an appropriate time for Mike McDaniel to hit him with a sack tap. Though you could imagine how funny it would be if he did.
Sometimes you just have to give the fellas a quick little smooch to let them know you love them. So in honor of Tua, I am awarding everyone a Mike McDaniel pass this weekend. If you're not kissing the boys this weekend then they're not really your boys.
