Fun Fact: Vintage Trea Turner Is So Back Just In Time For October

Trea Turner has had his fair share of ups and downs so far in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, we know what it looks like when he's really struggling out there. Everything just starts to look a little tense like he's battling to make a single play. But you can tell he's playing his best ball when he's the smoothest son of a bitch to step foot on that field. When you think about Turner at his peak, it'll always be the slide.

Shoutout to Coach Kent Murphy. I fuckin' hope so, too, dude.

That's a slide that was worth $300,000,000. A slide as smooth as Nick Wright's brain. When his body is moving with the ease of water flowing down the Schuylkill River, you know that everything is coming naturally and easily for him. That's when the man is certified on one. And over the past few nights, Trea is on one.

First off, great ball from Aramis Garcia. Sure, it had to take a short hop to get there, but that thing was a bullet. Always nice when the Phillies can have a monopoly on the 3 best catchers in baseball.

But goodness gracious. That pick from Trea Turner was comically smooth. Off the hop, quick tag, stashes the glove behind his back and struts his ass out of there like it was nothing. That's after a 2HR performance the night before with a stroke so smooth it would make Shannon Sharpe blush.

There's not a single drop of wasted movement there. Just checked the calendar and it turns out it's a fantastic time for the $300 million man to heat up.
