From D3 To Catching Game Winning Touchdowns In The NFL: The JJ Laap Story
*The only other place that can't compete for a state championship in the United States is the District of Columbia
It was awesome to have JJ Laap in the studio to talk about his career bringing the first NCAA D3 championship to Cortland and New York State. It was awesome to hear his insight on going to the NFL from D3 as well as his insight in a Pro receiver room with guys like Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. The dude scored a 47-yard game-winning touchdown from Stetson Bennett against the Chargers and was able to compete with the best players in the world coming from a D3 school. His story is pretty inspirational and his mentality is crazy when you hear how he had the confidence to go from under-recruited to the NFL.
Remind me a lot of Quinn Meinerz who played for Wisconsin-Whitewater and ended up with a $80m Payday.
Check out this interview especially if you like D3 ball and an underdog story.
