Auburn RB Commit Alvin Henderson Put Up 435 Yards and TEN Touchdowns and His Team Still Found a Way To Lose
I hope Alvin Henderson gathered Elba High School's defense together after their game Friday night and cussed each and every one of them up and down. What a disgraceful waste of an all-time performance.
Putting up 435 rushing yards in a loss is one thing — I'm sure that's happened more than a few times in high school football. But this guy scored 10 touchdowns! He put up 70 points by himself and his defense still found a way to lose the game. I don't know what the Alabama high school transfer rules are, but Henderson should have hit the portal this offseason if he had the chance.
I do love that his offensive coordinator seemingly doesn't even bother using a quarterback, though. Just line this kid up five yards behind the center and let him take off.
Auburn needs to pray that Henderson stays committed and they can somehow find a way to flip QB Deuce Knight from Notre Dame, because that offense looks absolutely disgusting right now. But if they can hold on to this kid and get a quarterback in there who won't throw four picks against Cal, maybe Hugh Freeze can do something on The Plains after all.
