Steph Curry Looked Completely Disgusted After Seeing Klay Thompson Out With His New Fling

As we know, breakups can sometimes be pretty tough. Especially when you've been together for 10+ years, have a cool couple nickname, and have reached the highest of highs with one another. When that relationship is finally over, it takes some time to get over it and acclimate to your new life. Maybe you unfollow that person on social media, maybe you delete their pictures from your IG or your phone so you wouldn't have to be reminded of them. The first time you see them out with someone else, it looks weird and gross. We've all been there at one point or another in our lives, it's just part of life.

In the NBA, that's currently what is going on with the former Splash Brothers. Apart for the first time in their career, seeing how Steph reacted to new teammates Klay Thompson and Dereck Lively having themselves a night out on the town was arguably one of the most relatable interactions we've ever seen from Steph. I sure as shit can't relate to putting all of France to sleep at the Olympics or winning multiple NBA titles, but I sure as shit can relate to this situation

"Ew" is right. While some may be under the impression that Steph is mostly joking here, you're kidding yourself if there isn't some real hurt in his heart there. To go from this

to this, in a blink of an eye

is going to feel and look pretty weird. Who could blame the guy really? It's not Steph's fault that the Warriors felt like Klay was washed and it was time to move on, but it is now Steph's problem to solve. My guess is he was not the one who wanted to turn his key in this relationship and Klay ultimately forced him to since he wanted a starting role somewhere and GS wasn't going to be that place

but it's also true that seeing players who have spent their entire career in one jersey then go to a new team looks weird as shit. It happens all the time in the NBA, especially with players staying on one team for their whole careers becoming more and more extinct by the season. You're telling me this doesn't look weird/gross?

It's going to take my brain a few weeks of watching Mavs games to get used to seeing Klay not only in #31, but that number being a Mavs jersey. It's sort of like how weird it was to see Tony Parker as a Hornet. It just looks gross.

Until my brain adjusts, I look at it like Steph in that clip. Klay hanging out with his new teammate Dereck Lively just looks weird and gross until further notice. Granted Mavs fans don't feel that way, but I imagine it'll take some time for them to get used to Klay as well. Right now it's all butterflies and hype, but let's check back in after a few weeks of the season to see how that defense/shooting looks, and who knows they may be saying "ew" too.
