Bears Fans Are Delusional. And Their Offensive Line Is Dogshit

I'm not sure if you've heard, but the NFC Championship goes through Chicago this season.

I am currently in a text battle with my Bears fan friends. They’re delusional. (Especially Kevin Mcvey)

That they're riding high after that performance is fucking insanity.

I’m not saying Caleb is a bust based off of one game whatsoever.

What I am saying, is if I was a Bears fan, I would be concerned/focused on/screaming that it’s extremely disheartening to watch the Bears dump all this money into weapons to surround their savior (Caleb Williams) with, and not adequately address the ginourmous line issues that have plagued this franchise for 30 years.

It’s the same old Bears arite. Doesn’t matter the coach. Doesn’t matter the gm. Their o line is always softer than baby shit and doesn’t matter if Patrick Mahomes was back there taking snaps. He’d be running for his life all game getting pressured, scrambling, not able to go through progressions, or develop any rhythm whatsoever. And he would look like shit. I fully believe that had Ryan Pace drafted Mahomes instead of Trubisky, he'd probably be out of the league now, and not in the argument for greatest QB of all-time discussion.

The entire sports media in this city has told us for the past 8 months that Justin Fields just sucked at football. Not that it was the offensive line that not only never allowed him a millisecond to go through his progressions, but never develop as a QB at all. Because every single pass play of his Bears tenure was a fucking jail-break and he had to scramble frantically.

I got into it with all of Bigcat's minion idiots this summer, and didn't forget.

Drafting Williams #1, and going nuts to draft another stud receiver with their 2nd top 10 pick, then bring in Keenan Allen, after nabbing DJ Moore a year earlier, and then doing absolutely nothing about the offensive line is the most fake-money shit I have ever heard in my life.

That's like buying a Ferrari and putting 87 octane gas in it. Or better yet, like buying a Ferrari and not think about insuring it.

It's moron behavior.

And if you think Poles drafting Kiran Amegadjie, and signing Coleman Shelton at center is an example of them addressing the O-line, then oh buddy we got an entire different subject to talk about.

You would think that Poles being a former offensive lineman, he would know how fucking crucial apart of the game it is. And be able to evaluate talent at that position the best.

I will say this because I am fair, Chief did mention it briefly in his blog earlier today

We knew there would be bumps in the road for the offense. This wasn't a speed bump though. This was like backing up over the spikes leaving a rental car parking garage. Why wasn't Cole Kmet involved, especially after Keenan Allen seeming tweaked a muscle? The interior of the offensive line was a siv. Shelton might own the honors for worst Bears debut in the last several years.

But that was it and he is also jacked to the tits.

Also, did they seriously not test Williams whatsoever in training camp? It looked like he’d never seen an NFL blitz or pressure in his life until today.

I just wrote a blog this week admitting what a complete idiot I am when it comes to sports takes, and doing a total 180 on the kid. I can't have him wind up being a bust now. I'm pot committed on him.
