Rivalry Never Sleeps: WKU Football Publicly Accuses EKU Of Ruining Their White Out This Weekend, EKU's Head Coach Stirs The Pot Over 'Lies'

Here we go again. 2 weeks in and the 2nd straight jersey war between rivals. 

This time though we go to a real football state. Kentucky. Eastern Kentucky vs Western Kentucky, a directional battle that everyone knows and cares about. You see, it all started when WKU put out this tweet: 

Look, it's a smart move. You announce a white out and don't have it already in stone that you can also wear white, this is the only move. EKU should be trying to ruin your day. Who cares? It's football, Suzyn. Now, some would just let it go and wait to play the game. Not Walt Wells. EKU's head coach decided to light a bit more of the fire: 

Well who is lying about what, Walt! Can't just let it go and not be direct. Clearly, EKU is planning on wearing the white jerseys: 

Again, give me all of this. I love how stupid it is because it pisses off everyone involved here. It's perfect for college sports, which as much as I love, has a lot of dumb shit happen! It's part of what separates it from the NFL. I'll keep saying it, if you know the away team has the right to pick what color jersey they wear, do a color out for your own team. Seems that simple. Don't do a white out until you know 100% you're wearing white. You don't need to plan it out days in advance, everyone can find a white shirt in their drawer. Maybe this game will be closer than Florida/Miami though. At least give us a real rivalry game with bitching and moaning on Twitter.
