A Woman Recorded Herself Getting Fired Thinking It Was Unjust and It Was Actually the Most Deserved Firing of All-Time

For whatever reason, people filming themselves being laid off or fired has become an oddly popular genre of videos over the last few years. Usually, the people filming are either being laid off by no fault of their own or are showing their employer firing them for an absurd reason. I think this video was supposed to fall into the second category, but this woman accidentally got herself roasted by everyone on the internet.

I was ready for the bad part to come — for the employer — but it turns out whatever business this is might actually be the most lenient people of all-time. 12 minutes. 21 minutes. 32 minutes. BIRTHDAY! She said she just didn't show up to work because it was her birthday like that was a common thing that would be understood by the woman on the other line, who deserves an Oscar for not losing it laughing at that point.

So yeah, it turns out this woman should have probably been fired long before this. Every single comment on TikTok and Twitter is siding with the employer, which is legitimately insane given the climate of the internet in 2024. Getting the chronically online populous to unanimously side with a corporation over an employee is about as impossible as getting a decent take out of Brandon Walker.

Best of luck to this woman in her search for a new job, though. Just don't ask her to work on August 12.
